Position Title: Asset Management Associate
Position Status: Full-time
Campus: Western University Campus-Pomona, CA
The Asset Management Associate supports the Capital Asset Manager in recording and updating University fixed assets within the University’s Inventory Asset Management software system. The Asset Management Associate also provides logistical and labor support necessary for the removal, moving, and disposing of fixed assets. The Asset Management Associate must support timely efforts in affixing asset tags to fixed assets and provide the necessary labor to support the survey of physical inventory of fixed assets. The Asset Management Associate also provides operational support to other areas within Procurement Services as assigned by Senior Director or Procurement Operations Manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Individuals must possess: 1) good and demonstrable business clerical skills; 2) an ability to quickly adapt to changing work environments and work well under tight deadlines, 3) Demonstrable experience and an ability to work in a warehouse environment and demonstrate skill in operating typical warehouse equipment and supplies; 4) Good computer skills necessary to set up document formats in Word, Excel, and MS Outlook. Familiarity with Access and PowerPoint is helpful. 5) Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively interact with students, administration, faculty, staff and outside contacts. 6) Customer Service experience highly desirable.
Education: 1 to 2 years of general college coursework is required. Experience: 2-3 years clerical/office experience.

This position is a non-exempt position and the hours are 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday. This position may be required to be available to report to work during the University’s annual Winter Break.
