Position Title: Director of Operations
Campus: Western University Campus-Pomona, CA
-The Director of Operations reports directly to the Associate Vice President of Information Technology & Deputy Chief Operating Officer (AVP of IT/DCOO). The Director of Operations provides operational/ budgetary support to the Information Technology unit and is charged with streamlining workflow via logistical facilitation of a compilation of various executive projects and day-to-day support of the primary budget process (including the annual development and allocation budget phases).
-Under the guidance of the AVP of IT/DCOO, oversees the IT Operations subunit and monitors fiscal activities related to the budget of the sub-ORGs in IT. Assists with the confidential preparation of annual salary associated documents. Maintains timely and cost-effective completion of projects as assigned.

Must have crisis management knowledge and superb prioritizing skills to assist in resolution advocacy matters.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality during the conduct of day-to-day business.
Dependability and timeliness are essential to ensure smooth workflow. Ability to work in fast-paced environment and be flexible in job assignments while maintaining strict deadlines. Exceptional organizational, prioritizing, tracking, and follow-up skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication and customer relations skills. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, and outside contacts. Must be a proactive team player—who assumes ownership of assigned projects—and can work independently as needed. Experienced understanding and incorporating of the standard protocols of confidentiality.
Advanced math and general accounting skills and knowledge of the English language relative to budget computations and letter composition.
Proficient computer skills necessary to create documents, spreadsheets, tables, and/or forms in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat Professional, and any other software programs as required by the position.
Experience and proficiency in HR and Accounting systems.
Experience with fax, copy machine, and telephone operation. Excellent mechanical aptitude.
Ability to take shorthand or speed writing, preferably at 50+ words per minute. Ability to type 60+ words per minute.
Education: A baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution of higher education is required. Experience: 7-9 or more years of experience in office procedure and management.
Experience: Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 3+ years working in an information technology unit preferred.
