Job Summary:
Primary purpose is to serve as a part-time faculty member for the College of Graduate Nursing. The faculty member will teach in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program and participate in committees and scholarly activity related to the faculty member’s area of expertise.

Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills, and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. 1. Expertise and knowledge in the area of educational preparation. 2. Ability to design, implement and evaluate courses, lectures and seminars and evaluate student achievement. 3. Knowledge of basic and advanced clinical skills required of nurses in multiple settings. 4. Maintain accurate records and reports of clinical and/or didactic performance of students. 5. Ability to communicate with a variety of health professionals that contribute to the clinical/didactic education of nursing students. 6. Work effectively with colleagues, staff and administration to advance the mission of the institution. 7. Demonstrate basic computer literacy and skills in emerging teaching technologies.
Required Qualifications:
1. EDUCATION: Must possess a Master’s degree in Nursing from an accredited institution. A doctorate in Nursing or related field is preferred.
2. LICENSURE: Must possess a current RN license and PMHNP license.
3. EXPERIENCE: Two years teaching experience in nursing education preferred.
