VIP (Violence Intervention and Prevention) provides quality interventions to individuals and communities. We focus on promoting peace and reducing violence in our local community through case management, peer support, street outreach, advocacy, graffiti removal, incident response, safe passages, relocation plans, peace-building community events, and linkages to local trusted resources. Our staff is trained in restorative practices and crisis intervention. They have the skills to connect with high-promise community members who may be guarded, oppositional, and struggling.

Benefits of the program: VIP improves community safety. Amplifies the voices of the communities that we serve. We meet people where they are and walk with them as they work towards reaching their highest potential.

This program is funded through the U.S Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Block Grant allocated to Supervisor Hilda Solis, First Supervisory District, the Department of Public Health’s Office of Violence Prevention, and the Cal VIP grant from the State of California. We also operate under funding from Amity Year 2 and through our partnership with the City of Pomona’s OVP, and their CalVIP grant.
