The primary purpose of the Administrative Associate is to enhance the effectiveness of the College of Pharmacy by supporting its mission and goals. This is accomplished by ensuring the day-to-day activities required to allow the College to function and meet its goals and satisfy its mission are completed in a timely and professional manner.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Individuals must possess knowledge, as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.1. Good computer skills to set up document formats in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and any other software program required by this position. Ability to compose and/or proofread text/correspondence2. Basic math skills, including the ability to operate a 10-key calculator.3. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, and students. Familiarity with medical and scientific terminology.
--Education: AA/ AS degree or a combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School Diploma required.--Experience: 5 years secretarial or administrative assistant experience in an academic setting.
Preference will be given to candidates holding an Associates or Bachelor of Science or Arts degree from an accredited college or university.
