Job Summary:
Reporting directly to the VP of Human Resources, the Employment Manager oversees the Talent Management team and all functions related to recruitment and personnel changes such as promotions, transfers, and job changes. The Employment Manager partners with hiring managers to understand program needs to develop recruitment strategies for filling vacancies, employee engagement, and retention. The Employment Manager is responsible for developing and monitoring strong HR talent management team performance metrics to ensure peak process and staff efficiency.

Ability to manage a team of HR professionals.
Management development theories and techniques.
Understanding of diversity and inclusion and knowledge of programs to build and retain a diverse workforce.
Strong understanding of the Banner HRIS and PeopleAdmin talent management or equivalent system.
Technologically savvy and eager to streamline internal HR and ATS processes and implementation.
Proven ability to facilitate and lead minor to major HR initiatives from conception to fulfillment.
Ability to lead cross-functional and inter-unit teams in a collegial, collaborative, and proactive manner that results in a positive customer experience, builds and maintains high levels of confidence, and ensures strong teamwork and success.
Comprehensive understanding of regulations relating to HR, EEO/AA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
Able to achieve results in a team-oriented and highly collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications:
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited academic institution in Human Resources or a closely related field.
EXPERIENCE: A visionary, progressive and strategic thinker with 5+ years of HR-related experience, the last three of which must have been as an HR leader preferably managing one or more major teams within an HR operation in higher education.

Preferred Qualifications:
PREFERENCES: Preferences will be given to individuals with a graduate degree, experience in both academe and industry, and specific experience managing talent management teams and processes
