Under the direction of the Executive Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Analyst II is responsible for developing complex financial reporting and metrics, monitoring financial activity for accuracy and timeliness, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and fiscal policies and procedures. The Financial Analyst II is required to perform variance analysis on actuals, rolling forecasts, plans, and projections, including preparing narrative on findings and recommendations. Individual must be a team player and good communicator and possess the ability to independently prepare complex financial reporting, forecasting, cost analysis, and recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling.2. Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.3. Attention to accuracy and detail required.4. High level verbal and written communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.5. Ability to be a team player and work independently and meet deadlines when required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business with a concentration in finance or accounting.Two to three years of experience in preparing financial reports and dashboards.
Ability to export and use complex Excel formulas to consolidate and summarize information into a meaningful, easy to understand report for various levels of management.
List comments regarding work hours:
8 am to 5 pm, M-F May occasionally work outside of normal 40-hr work week during closing and reporting periods, including time sensitive projects.
