Job opportunity Research Assistant, Western University of Health Sciences Job Specification The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Western University of Health Sciences, has an immediate opening for a Part-Time Research Assistant, 20 hours per week, $15 to $20 hourly salary with fringe benefits). This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting, well-funded research team investigating the anticancer activities and molecular mechanisms using rodent models. We are seeking a hardworking researcher to pursue collaborative research projects within the laboratory of Dr. Ying Huang. Preferred qualifications include strong interest and motivation in cancer drug discovery and experiences in oncology preclinical animal models. Western University of Health Sciences is a dynamic research environment where scientists with both academic and industry experience work collaboratively. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Familiar with equipment and methods used for molecular biology studies. 2. Preferred to be knowledgeable in rodent handling, dosing, and laboratory animal care. 3. Familiar with data analyzing and plotting software. 4. Is willing to learn IACUC regulations concerning animal handling and experimentation.
Required Qualifications:
1. EDUCATION: A BS degree in biomedical sciences or related field. 2. EXPERIENCE: At least five-years of laboratory experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
BS in biomedical sciences is preferred.
