Job Summary:
Under the direction of the COMP Simulation Program Director, and in collaboration with faculty, the Simulation Operations Specialist will be responsible for planning and providing operational /technical support for simulation learning experiences, skills labs and Standardized Patient (SP) programs for student years 1-4.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Individuals must possess these knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that the individual can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. 1. Excellent computer skills. Required to set up document formats in Word, Excel, Outlook, and any other software program required by the position.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with administration, faculty, staff, students, and organizational partners.
3. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments and be flexible with job assignments.
4. Excellent ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet multiple urgent deadlines. 5. Must adhere to all COMP policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications:
1. Education: Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities needed for the position. High School Diploma or GED required, AA or higher degree preferred. Certification in Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialist from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSIH) must be obtained within three years from the date of hire. 2. Experience: 2 – 4 years of experience with technology applications. Experience in healthcare, computer science and higher education preferred.

40 hours per week. Some overtime may be required.
