Position Title: Student Affairs Coordinator
Position Status: Full-time
Campus: Western University Campus-Pomona, CA
The coordinator provides high-level student affairs support, including, but not limited to administrative support to the CVM Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, event management, and oversight to the work in collaboration with a diverse audience. Position incumbent is expected to manage and monitor all aspects of assigned events including, but not limited to, operations and customer service activities while serving a diverse audience of guests including prospective students, students, alumni, faculty, staff, parents, donors, community members, and other distinguished guests.
The position reports to and is evaluated by the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs for the College of Veterinary Medicine.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Individuals must possess the knowledge, as well as the following skills and abilities or be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities. 1. Excellent computer skills necessary in order to set up document formats in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and /or similar software packages. 2. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to effectively interact with administration, faculty, staff, and students. 3. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced office.
Education: Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job in a satisfactory manner. AA degree and/or combined experience/education as substitute for minimum education Experience: 2-3 years of administrative experience.
Education: BS degree in business or related field Experience: 4 years of administrative experience
